Terms & Conditions for accepting Green Waste
1) Green waste refers to freshly cut woody plant matter only. This shall exclude: Rotten/composting material, Melamine, grass clippings, plastics, metals, stones, dirt, sods, paint, rubber, oil, toxic chemicals, plasterboard, processed wood, pallets, MDF, plywood, chipboard, hardboard, leaf mulch, nails, laminated/glued products, infestation and fire damage.
2) Delivery can be made to the site during daylight hours (Mon –Fri)
3) Random testing – All loads will be subject to random testing. This is a simple visual assessment of the inbound material. A load containing more than five obvious pieces of foreign contaminants will be subject to downgrading. Five pieces or less will be removed free, but the client will be notified by telephone.
4) Downgrading - Any load that is outside this specification will be sorted by hand by the provider at a cost of £20 + VAT per hour to the client. In addition, there will also be a disposal fee for all contaminates or they can be collected by the client. Any action will be notified to the client by telephone, and an invoice will be posted.
5) Rejection – Should any load be so contaminated that it would be uneconomical to the client or provider to proceed with sorting, the load will be returned unprocessed to the clients site. The client will be notified by telephone. The client will cover both costs of transport for collection & returning the load, and an invoice will be posted.
All of these strict specifications are due to the nature of the end market of the green waste. All green waste is processed by the provider. The end user has very strict guidelines that the provider must follow, and so some of these conditions must be applied to the client. To gain entry to our site a Goodwood Recycling sticker must be displayed on the vehicle, or the vehicle registration number must be registered with us.
The site may or may not be manned, but all vehicles entering & leaving the site will be recorded on video camera.
